Lion's Mane | Hericenones and Erinacines

In 2013, Malaysian scientist studied Lion's Mane (Hericium erinaceaus) for its ability to stimulate brain cell growth. Nerve growth factor (NGF) is part of the maintenance process of the basal forebrain cholinergic system. The conclusion of the study was that hericenones and erinacines isolated from Lion's Mane, can trigger NGF-synthesis in nerve cells.
